Media ethics chief whip Ezekiel Mutua has been dealing with a heart condition that has been causing him significant distress.
On Monday, Dr. Ezekiel revealed on social media that he had visited the hospital for a checkup and was informed by doctors that he needed to see a cardiologist urgently.
According to Dr. Ezekiel, his blood pressure was 157/86, which is above the normal limit of less than 120/80. His heart rate was 115 beats per minute, which is higher than the normal range of 60-80.
Dr. Ezekiel shared that a flurry of tests followed, and the medical team attending to him recommended admission and a subsequent heart operation.
He described the news as the scariest he had ever received.
Despite the challenges, Dr. Ezekiel has sought a second opinion from a professional medical team, including his close ally and doctor, Dr. Bagha.
