Man Found Dead in Nairobi Hotel Room, Woman Goes Missing

On Tuesday afternoon, a 74-year-old Asian man was found dead in a hotel room at Oakwood Hotel, located on Kimathi street in Nairobi.

The hotel manager discovered the body and immediately notified the police. According to the manager, the woman who was with the deceased, identified as Melvin Mbone Mwende, had booked a room at the hotel on Monday at around 5pm.

Ms Mwende was later joined by the deceased, Rajnikant Velji Meghji Shah, and it is believed that she disappeared with his valuables, including Sh2, 730, credit cards, a mobile phone, a wrist watch, a wedding ring, and two pairs of glasses.

The deceased's body was taken to a city morgue for further investigation.

Police are currently searching for Ms Mwende in connection with the incident.
