Businesswoman Zari Hassan Denies Crush on Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko ¶

Businesswoman Zari Hassan has refuted claims that she has a crush on Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko. The claims, which went viral on social media, alleged that Zari had declared her love for the Governor in an interview with Jacaranda FM in South Africa.
However, Zari has come out to deny the claims, stating that she had never even met Sonko. In a statement seen by Nyakundi Report, Zari wrote, 'This nonsense from this man should stop. No I have no crush on you. I don’t know you never met you or anything. Please let me be. Plus you are not my type governor. Thank you.'
It is worth noting that a cross-check on Jacaranda FM's Instagram page indicates that Zari Hassan has not been interviewed by the station in the recent past. The station always updates their followers with names of guests gracing their studios.
Just the other day, Sonko noted that he had been accused of being in a relationship with Rev Lucy Natasha and Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan. However, it appears that the claims about Zari were fabricated.
It is worth mentioning that Zari was in Nairobi for the Colour purple concert in May 2018, where she was hosted by Mike Sonko’s wife Primrose Mbuvi. The Colour Purple Concert was aimed at spreading cancer awareness, talk about women issues including motherhood and other lifestyle challenges Kenyan women face.
