On July 17, 2019, Radio Africa found itself entangled in a lawsuit between former employer NRG and its radio presenters Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe.

The dispute revolves around a 3-month non-complete clause in the employment contract of the two presenters, who are currently working for Radio Africa.

NRG had earlier filed a preliminary objection against Radio Africa's involvement in the suit, but the court ruled in favor of Radio Africa, allowing the company to join the case as an interested party.

According to an affidavit sworn by Linda Musita, head of legal in Radio Africa, the two presenters have been placed on Radio Africa's payroll and have been subject to statutory deductions and employee benefits.

Radio Africa has also made significant investments in refurbishing KISS 100's studio, training Kamene and Kibe, and hiring additional staff.

The case is set to return to court on July 22, 2019.
