Published on July 17, 2019, Samsung has been refining its custom skin, One UI, for its Galaxy phones and tablets. The latest iteration, One UI 1.0, was introduced in late 2018 with the launch of the Android Pie beta program.

The arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series marked the release of an incremental upgrade to One UI 1.1. As expected, an upgraded version is in the works as part of the upcoming Samsung Android Q update.

According to a report by SamMobile, Samsung is planning a refresh of One UI with a second-generation One UI 2.0. This update is expected to bundle improved Digital Wellbeing features, including Focus mode, and other core Android Q features like system-wide dark mode.

The report also claims that the Galaxy S11 will debut with an updated One UI 2.1 skin on top of Android 10. However, the availability of Samsung's Android Q update remains unclear.
