Kenya is set to face off against tough opponents in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualification process, having been pooled in Pot 2 ahead of the draw scheduled for Thursday, July 18, in Cairo, Egypt.

The draw will see the top seeded teams, including Algeria, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Mali, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Morocco, DR Congo, and Tunisia, compete against teams from Pot 2, which includes Benin, Cape Verde, Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Libya, Mauritania, Niger, South Africa, Uganda, and Zambia.

According to the qualification process, the group toppers and runners-up will earn automatic qualification for the AFCON finals, with hosts Cameroon guaranteed a place.

Kenya's Pot 2 opponents are a mix of experienced teams and newcomers to the African football scene, making the qualification process a challenging one for the Kenyan team.
