Actress Awinja, known for her role in Papa Shirandula, has been in a relationship with her baby's father for over a year. The two welcomed their son, Mosi, in 2018.
Speaking to Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo, Awinja revealed that she is still hopeful for marriage with her partner, but is being cautious about sharing their relationship with the public.
She explained that she is protective of her loved ones and prefers to keep them out of the spotlight. This is why she rarely posts photos of her baby or his father on social media.
'I love protecting the people I love, that's why I rarely post my baby nor his dad on social media,' Awinja said.
She added that her main concern is to ensure her child has a normal childhood, free from the pressures of being a celebrity's child. 'People know me courtesy of the work I do. For my kid, it is totally different,' she said.
Awinja's partner is reportedly involved in the entertainment industry, but prefers to keep a low profile. 'He is behind the scenes. He is not showy, he does production,' she revealed.
When asked about her marriage plans, Awinja jokingly said, 'I got 'married' in reverse. I got pregnant first, but it depends.' She emphasized that she cannot predict when or if she will get married, as it could happen tomorrow or she might change her mind.
