Published on July 17, 2019, Lynda Nyangweso, a Kenyan radio presenter, recently took to social media to share a photo of her family's beach vacation. However, her joy was short-lived as she faced trolls who couldn't resist taking a jab at her.
According to Nyangweso, she posted the picture because her family was happy and enjoying their time together. However, some Kenyans wouldn't let her enjoy in peace, with one follower calling her a whale.
'I think that is the most creative one,' Nyangweso said in a Q&A session. 'At least you did your research because he specifically called me a beluga whale.'
Despite the trolls, Nyangweso chose not to engage with them and instead focused on enjoying her vacation with her family. She also praised her husband for being supportive and not letting the negative comments affect him.
'Ooh my God, my husband is the most amazing person because he is the blindest to such things so I thank him for that,' Nyangweso said. 'But I will say this time what got to me was that people DMing him and telling him really mean things.'
As someone who is often trolled on social media, Nyangweso has learned to ignore the negative comments and focus on her family and work.
