On June 18, 2014, a tragic event shook the lives of Esther Arunga and her family. Her three-year-old son, Sinclair, lost his life in their family home in Kallangur, Australia. The incident has been the subject of intense scrutiny, with Esther's husband, Quincy Timberlake, facing accusations of beating their son to death.
Recently, Esther Arunga made a shocking confession in an Australian court, revealing that she lied to police to protect her husband. In a statement to the court, she said, “I was terrified of being alone and felt terrible because my husband was sick as well,” (Source: Kenyandigest.com, July 17, 2019).
Esther also pleaded guilty to being an accessory to the murder. The court is set to deliver its ruling on Thursday, leaving the family and the public eagerly awaiting the outcome.
As the news of Esther's confession spread, her ex-husband's former wife, Rose Mueni, took to social media to offer words of encouragement and forgiveness. In a heartfelt message, Rose wrote, “With God all things are possible. We’re not judging you as a family and we’re praying for you despite our differences. We’ve always prayed for him and his family because him not being in our lives, doesn’t mean he’s an enemy. Be strong, this shall come to pass. I love him with the love of Christ Jesus,” (Source: Kenyandigest.com, July 17, 2019).
Rose also implored Kenyans to forgive Esther and her family, advising them to stand with their daughter. She further encouraged Esther to draw inspiration from Psalms 23, saying, “Forgive her, embrace and accept her. She made a mistake and yes, there’s a time for everything. This is not time to judge her and criticize her. Give her another chance to live. We’re human beings and bound to make mistakes. No one is perfect,” (Source: Kenyandigest.com, July 17, 2019).
