Absa Bank Kenya and Kenya Medical Association Unveil New Benefits for Medical Practitioners

On May 12, 2022, Absa Bank Kenya launched a new partnership with the Kenya Medical Association (KMA) to introduce a customer value proposition that will benefit 10,000 medical practitioners affiliated with KMA.

The partnership offers medical practitioners a range of benefits, including prepaid multi-currency smartcards that double as membership identification and a prepaid card for electronic payments. KMA members will also enjoy relationship management, credit access, and tailored financial solutions, including business unsecured loans of up to KES10 million and personal unsecured loans of up to KES6 million.

Speaking at the launch event, Absa Bank's Head of Premier Banking, Simon Gachahi, emphasized the bank's commitment to delivering bespoke customer value propositions to different professionals. 'We have been speaking to our customers and professionals from different fields in a bid to understand their specific needs, and this new proposition for our doctors is just one among many others that we are rolling out for our customers in various disciplines,' he said.

Kenya Medical Association CEO, Dr. Njoki Fernandes, commended the collaboration, stating that it was a game-changer for the medical fraternity. 'This partnership offers our members peace of mind when making their financial decisions while also positively enabling them to undertake various transactions cashless,' she said.
