Microsoft Outlook for Android is the latest app to join the dark mode trend, with the feature expected to roll out soon.
According to Windows Central, Microsoft has been working on the dark theme since 2018, and the company has now shared official renders of the feature.
The images show that the dark mode will affect not only the mail screen but also the calendar and search screens of the app. However, blue accents will still be present throughout the UI.
Users will be able to enable dark mode through the Theme section in the app's settings, or by using the hamburger menu. Alternatively, the feature can be enabled automatically through the device's battery saving mode.
Dark mode is not only a visually appealing feature, but it also offers improved battery life for users. While it's unclear when the feature will be available to the public, it's expected to arrive soon, given that the desktop and web versions of Outlook already have the feature.
