Cameroon's sports minister, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, has made the decision to relieve Clarence Seedorf of his duties as head coach of the Indomitable Lions.

Seedorf's tenure as head coach began in August 2018, and he was assisted by former Dutch international Patrick Kluivert.

According to Kombi, Seedorf's inability to build a winning team and maintain order and discipline were major factors in the decision to sack him.

Seedorf's men were knocked out of the AFCON tournament in the round of 16 by Nigeria, a defeat that sealed their fate and led to Kombi's announcement on state television CRTV.

Seedorf's tenure as head coach of the Indomitable Lions was marked by a series of poor performances, including a 3-2 loss to Nigeria in the round of 16.

Seedorf's inability to lead his squad effectively and maintain order and discipline were major criticisms of his tenure as head coach.

Seedorf's departure marks the end of an era for the Indomitable Lions, who were seeking to retain their AFCON title.
