Esther Arunga's past relationship with Wilson Malaba has been a subject of interest, especially given her subsequent marriage to Quincy Timberlake. In a past interview, Malaba revealed that he and Arunga were set to get married but she dumped him just a few months before the wedding.
Malaba explained that he and Arunga were friends for two years before they started dating in October 2009. He claimed that his then-pastor, Hellon, told him that they were spiritually connected, which led him to start dating Arunga.
Malaba further revealed that Hellon played a role in ruining his relationship with Arunga. He explained that Hellon kicked him out of church and pushed Arunga to date Quincy Timberlake. Malaba also claimed that Hellon's actions led to Arunga accusing him of adultery and breaking off their engagement.
Malaba eventually met his current wife, Rosemary Muthoni, in 2013 and the two tied the knot the same year. Muthoni is a former model who had previously worked for Malaba before relocating to Boston. Malaba praised Muthoni, saying that she is the best thing that has ever happened to him and that he doesn't take their relationship for granted.
Malaba also shared that one of the reasons he is head over heels for Muthoni is because she is simple and supportive. He added that looking back, he thinks marrying Esther Arunga would have been a great mistake.
