On Wednesday, 4 May 2022, Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) issued a public warning against land fraudsters purporting to sell two parcels of land owned by the Authority opposite City Cabanas along Mombasa Road.
The land in question, with registration numbers L.R. No 209/14694/1 and L.R. No. 209/14694/2, was acquired through compulsory acquisition and is situated between the Nairobi Expressway, Operational and Maintenance offices and Ramtons building.
According to KURA Director-General Silas Kinoti, the land was acquired from Strategic Industries in 2014 for the sole purpose of completing the construction of the City Cabanas interchange.
“Any person(s) purchasing the said portion of parcels, registration numbers L.R. No 209/14694/1 and L.R. No. 209/14694/2, shall do so at their own risk,” Kinoti warned.
KURA is a state agency established under the Roads Act 2007 to manage, develop, rehabilitate and maintain the national urban road network.
