Published on July 16, 2019, Esther Arunga, a trained lawyer, has spoken out about her regret over meeting Nimrod Hellon, the founder of Finger of God church.

Arunga joined the church in 2009 and met Quincy, whom she married on March 9, 2010, just a month after resigning from KTN.

However, things took a sour turn after Hellon was accused of running a cult sect.

Speaking about her experience with Hellon, Esther said, 'I joined Finger of God while I was still at KTN and I felt like I was doing God’s work and that is why I defended him the way I did.'

She also revealed that Hellon had ordered her to date and marry Wilson Malaba, whom she later discovered was not as straight as she thought.

Arunga claimed that Hellon took control of her life while she was living with him and his wife, and that he had brainwashed her into suing her parents.

'He turned me against my parents, ordered me to sue them and so many things and I did them because I was under his spell and didn’t know what I was doing,' she said.

Arunga also expressed her regret over Hellon's demands, including naming her baby.

She concluded by saying, 'All I can ask Kenyans is to forgive me and my husband, we did not know what we were doing and we are very sorry.'
