Reverend Kathy Kiuna's son, Jeremy, has shared a harrowing experience of contemplating suicide after relocating to the US for studies.

Speaking on the TV show 'Woman without Limits', Jeremy revealed that depression and self-doubt pushed him to his lows.

'My parents took me to the US after primary school, I thought we were just going to travel, what I did not know is that my parents were leaving me behind to study,' he said.

Jeremy explained that he initially struggled to adjust to his new school, where he was largely dominated by white students, and would often eat alone and avoid interacting with his peers.

However, things improved when he was transferred to a new school with a more diverse student body, where he finally felt a sense of belonging.

Jeremy revealed that he had attempted to commit suicide twice before opening up to his parents about his struggles.

He recalled the phone call he made to his father, which left his mother 'scared' and 'wondering how that could be happening to a boy she had raised in so much love.'

Jeremy's story serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health support and the need for open conversations about struggles with depression and self-doubt.
