On Sunday night, a 39-year-old man was brutally hacked to death by unknown assailants in Rachuonyo North, Homa Bay County.
According to area Chief Jacob Atonga, the deceased, George Onyango, was on his way home from Kawaka village when he was attacked by a group of people armed with crude weapons near Kodula Trading Centre.
They stripped him half naked and slashed him with a machete, leaving him with deep cuts on the neck, head, and back.
The body was moved to Kendu Adventist Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
Chief Atonga confirmed the incident, stating that the motive behind the attack is yet to be established.
