July 15, 2019 - Jacque Maribe, a seasoned news anchor at Citizen TV, has reportedly tendered her resignation from the station after facing pressure from Royal Media Services (RMS) bosses.

According to sources, Maribe's resignation was prompted by her association with Jubilee digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, who was arrested in connection with a fake letter alleging a plot to assassinate Deputy President William Ruto.

Itumbi's arrest led to a viral photo of Maribe accompanying him at Muthaiga Police Station, which reportedly sparked a heated conversation between Maribe and her bosses.

Maribe had initially requested to be excused from work 'over personal reasons' on July 3rd, but her bosses felt she had deceived them, leading to a call asking her to either resign or face termination.

Maribe, who has been working with Royal Media Services since 2012, is yet to publicly comment on her resignation.

It's worth noting that Maribe was charged with the murder of Kenyan businesswoman Monica Kimani last October, alongside her boyfriend Joseph Irungu alias Jowie.
