Huawei's Honor brand has been making waves in Kenya with its affordable devices, and the latest addition to the lineup is the Honor 9X. With a launch date set for July 23 in China, the phone's specs and benchmarks have surfaced online, giving us a glimpse of what to expect.
The Honor 9X will feature a 6.59-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) LCD display screen, powered by a Kirin 810 processor (7nm). It will come in three variants: 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM, with 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB storage options. The phone will also feature a tri-lens 48MP + 8MP + 2MP main camera, a 32MP pop-up selfie camera, and a 4000mAh battery.
According to AnTuTu benchmarks, the new Kirin 810 7nm chipset scored 219,809, a huge jump from the Kirin 710 in the Honor 8X and even outscores the Snapdragon 675 and Snapdragon 710 processors.
It's worth noting that Honor has already teased the July 23 launch date for the Honor 9X, but this will be limited to the Chinese market. As for when the phone will arrive in Kenya, we can't tell, although towards the end of Q3 seems plausible.
