On July 15, 2019, Minet Kenya made a significant contribution to the Kenya Communications Sports Organization (KECOSO) by donating Ksh 500,000 to support the organization's 2019 games.
Speaking at the handover event, Minet Kenya Chief Executive Officer Sammy Muthui emphasized the company's commitment to supporting sports as part of its corporate social responsibility program.
"While we conduct our business, we are always looking into ways of being purposeful to the communities that we serve and by supporting sports we believe we are creating positive impacts in the lives of those involved," Mr. Muthui said.
Minet Kenya's donation is a significant boost to the 40th edition of the KECOSO Games, which will be hosted by Kisii County and feature 12 teams from various ministries and parastatals competing in various sporting disciplines.
