Chelsea's Mateo Kovacic has been without a goal for 894 days, a drought that has prompted him to seek help from new boss Frank Lampard.
Lampard, who netted a club record 209 goals for Chelsea, is now tasked with teaching Kovacic how to score.
According to reports, Kovacic's last goal was on January 29, 2017, in a 3-0 win over Real Sociedad while playing for Real Madrid.
Unlike his teammates, including Ruben Loftus-Cheek, N'Golo Kante, Ross Barkley, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Jorginho, who have all scored goals, Kovacic has not found the back of the net since then.
With pre-season training underway, Kovacic has expressed his desire to learn from Lampard, who he believes can help him improve his goal-scoring form.
"I'm looking forward to working with [Lampard] a lot - he was an amazing player and he showed last season that he is a good coach as well," Kovacic noted.
"I'm looking forward to learning how to score from him because he scored quite a lot and me not so much last season," he added.
"I'm maybe not exactly the same type of midfielder as he was but he had some strong abilities, especially scoring goals," Kovacic said.
