AFCON 2019: Senegal's Algeria Final Hopes Hit by Kalidou Koulibaly Suspension

Senegal moved a step closer to a maiden Africa Cup of Nations title following their semi-final victory over Tunisia on July 14, 2019.

The win set up a date with Algeria in the title decider at Cairo International Stadium on July 19, 2019.

However, the Lions of Teranga have been dealt a blow with the suspension of influential defender Kalidou Koulibaly ahead of the final.

Koulibaly picked up a second yellow card in three matches after conceding a penalty in Sunday's 1-0 semi-final win over Tunisia.

The Napoli man's arm was struck by the ball in the 74th minute, leading to a penalty, which was subsequently missed by Ferjani Sassi.

Senegal's Henry Saivet also squandered their own chance from 12 yards before a Dylan Bronn extra time own goal settled the match.
