On July 19, 2019, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry walked the red carpet at the premiere of The Lion King in Leicester Square, London.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were greeted with cheers and shrieks from the crowd as they arrived at the cinema, holding hands to the tune of 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight.'

Meghan, 37, stunned in a chic black knee-length flared dress from the Jason Wu Collection, valued at Sh450,000 (£3,500). She paired it with a black Gucci clutch and Aquazzura heels, and styled her hair in a sleek bun.

Harry, 34, looked dapper in a suit with a bow tie, and the pair spent the evening mingling with A-listers, including Beyoncé and Donald Glover, who star in the updated Disney classic.

The Lion King, a photorealistic computer-animated remake of the 1994 film, boasts a star-studded cast, including Glover as king-in-waiting Simba and Beyoncé voicing his love interest Nala.

Disney announced the Protect the Pride campaign, aimed at raising awareness of dwindling lion numbers, and The Royal Foundation will be involved with and support the campaign.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé and Meghan shared a hug and talked baby Archie, with Beyoncé gushing, 'We love you guys.' The singing sensation also commented on how 'beautiful' Archie is, as they exchanged parenting tips.

When Beyoncé won a Brit Award with her husband, Jay Z, they paid tribute to Meghan, sending a video acceptance speech that included a picture of Meghan in the frame instead of the Mona Lisa.
