Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso has returned to Kenya after a month-long treatment in London and India.

According to her deputy governor Hillary Barchok, the governor jetted in from India on Sunday morning and was received without much publicity.

Chief Justice David Maraga, who visited Laboso in India, stated that she needs prayers and support as she continues treatment.

"The governor arrived in the country this morning, and would be continuing with treatment. She needs our prayers and support," Maraga said.

Dr. Barchok remained tight-lipped about Laboso's health, stating that it was a family affair and should not be intruded upon.

"The state of her health is strictly a family affair, we cannot purport to speak for them. She should be given the support she needs and we should not intrude into their privacy," he stated during a church service in Narok.

Laboso's return comes after several top public figures visited her while she was abroad, including Opposition leader Raila Odinga and Kenya's High Commissioner to UK Manoah Esipisu in London, and Chief Justice David Maraga, his wife Yucabeth Nyaboke, and others in India.
