Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso has returned to Kenya after a two-month stay in India and the United Kingdom seeking medical treatment for an undisclosed condition.

According to Deputy Governor Dr. Hillary Barchok, Laboso arrived in the country on Sunday morning and will continue with her treatment. He appealed to residents to pray for and support the governor during this challenging time.

Laboso had left the country on May 29 for the United Kingdom before being transferred to India for further treatment.

Her return has ended weeks of speculation among residents who had been inquiring about her medical progress at her home and office.

Dr. Barchok had previously asked residents to stop speculating about the governor's health, stating that it was a family affair and that they should not intrude into their privacy.

Laboso is expected to continue with her treatment locally.
