Published on July 15, 2019, the organizers of East Africa's Got Talent announced the judges in a ceremony held in Nairobi on Saturday.
The four countries participating in the contest - Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda - each contributed a judge to the panel.
The selected judges include Kenyan media personality Jeff Koinange, Ugandan radio presenter and actor Gaetano Kagwa, Rwandan DJ Makeda Mahadeo, and Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee.
Ugandan comedian Anne Kansiime will host the show, which will air on television screens from next month.
The show, shot in Nairobi, will be broadcast on Citizen TV (Kenya), Clouds Media (Tanzania), Rwanda Broadcasting Agency, and NBS TV (Uganda).
The program is sponsored by telecommunications company Safaricom and beverage maker Coca Cola Africa.
East Africa's Got Talent will run for 10 weeks, with contestants going through three phases before reaching the finals.
