On July 14, 2019, Meru presenters from Mediamax Network Limited took on their Mayian colleagues in an intra-station football match at the University of Nairobi Grounds.

The match was an entertaining display of football skills, with both teams trading powerful shots at goal.

Meru took an early lead through Christopher Mburugu, who capitalized on an error by the Mayian goalkeeper in the 37th minute.

Marete Muriithi then made it a two-goal advantage for Meru in the 46th minute with a predatory strike, followed by Nchebere's third goal in the 55th minute.

Mayian, led by captain James Lekishan, refused to concede, reducing the arrears thanks to Dickson Mpapale's strike on the half hour mark.

Kevin 'DJ Signal' Fitah scored Mayian's second goal in the 75th minute, but Meru's Mwenda Saba sealed the win with a fourth goal in the same minute.

Lekishan commended his team's strong character, especially given that two players, Sammy Sang'ida and Ishmail Koita, were playing while nursing injuries.

Christopher Mburugu, Meru's inspirational skipper, expressed confidence in his team's ability to inflict revenge in a return match.
