Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso has returned to the country after a period of medical treatment in India and the United Kingdom.
According to reports, Governor Laboso left Kenya on May 29 for the United Kingdom, where she initially received treatment before being transferred to India for further care.
Her return brings an end to week-long speculations among residents who had been inquiring about her medical progress at county offices.
During her absence, Bomet County Deputy Governor Hillary Barchok took over the Governor's responsibilities.
Notably, last month, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga and Kenya's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Manoah Esipisu, paid a visit to Governor Laboso in a London hospital.
Her arrival is expected to mark the continuation of her treatment for an undisclosed ailment at a local medical facility.
