On July 14, 2019, the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (Icifa) elected financial and investment specialist Jonah Aiyabei as its new chairperson.
Dr. Aiyabei, who took over from Job Kihumba, has served as Icifa's vice chairman since June 2016.
He pledged to concentrate his efforts on entrenching professionalism among financial analysts and improving services offered to the private and public sector.
Dr. Aiyabei currently serves as a director at the Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas and has served as Trust Secretary of KPC Pension Schemes.
Other council members elected were Einstein Kihanda, Leah Nyambura, and Duncan Elly Ochieng'. Mr. Kihanda is the chief executive of ICEA Lion Asset Management and chairman of the Fund Managers Association.
Icifa regulates the investment and financial analysis profession and licenses practitioners.
