Published on July 14, 2019, Kakamega School is gearing up to host an elite football holiday camp in August 2019.

The event, spearheaded by coaches from Edukick, will bring together at least 100 football players and 50 football coaches to Kakamega town for a two-week training session.

Former Real Sociedad tactician Roberto Navajas will lead the training team, with the event scheduled to take place at Kakamega High School between August 4th and 18th, 2019.

According to Green Commandos Sports Club chairman Isaac Kwoba, the training sessions for coaches will run in the first week, while youths will be trained for the entirety of the event.

The camp will target youths in categories U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U17, and U19, with registration on a first-come-first-admitted basis.

“The development of young players is at the core of the club, with our primary objective of ensuring that the very best young players in Kakamega and its environs have a clear playing pathway of progressing through the existing underage structure and into professional football,” said Kwoba.

Registration is urged to book their slots early, as the camp will be a full-board event with limited spaces available for 100 players and 50 coaches.

Notable figures such as Kakamega high school old boys Simon Mulama, Ronnie Watsiera, Peter Ouma, and Mike Otieno will be part of the camp.
