Three Suspects Held Over Mobile Money Fraud in Juja

On July 12, 2019, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested three suspects in Juja, Kiambu County, following a tip-off from members of the public.

The suspects, two Nigerian nationals and a 35-year-old Kenyan woman named Winfred Wangui, were taken into custody after a raid on their house in the Witeithie area.

According to the police, the raid led to the recovery of over 70 assorted SIM cards from various service providers, 10 mobile phones, Subscriber SIM registration forms, several Kenyan Identification Cards, and some Kenyan currency.

The DCI confirmed that the three suspects are in their custody as further investigations continue.
