Chelsea manager Frank Lampard marked his second match in charge with a 4-0 win over St. Patrick's Athletic in Ireland on July 13, 2019.
The victory was thanks in part to a brace from Olivier Giroud and goals from Mason Mount and Emerson Palmieri, but Lampard was particularly impressed by the display of his strike duo, Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.
"I thought Tammy (Abraham), in the first half, alongside Michy (Batshuayi) was very good," Lampard said in an interview to Chelsea TV. "Between the two of them, they have shown exactly what it is I want. Energy off the ball as well as on the ball and quality."
Lampard also commended Mount, whom he worked with at Derby, and Ross Barkley, noting that they had a good game 'full of energy'.
Chelsea's preseason tour of Ireland continued with their second friendly, having drawn 1-1 with Bohemians in their first match.
