However, one notable guest who made a discreet entrance was Jacque Maribe, a former Citizen TV journalist who had resigned weeks prior.
According to sources, Maribe's resignation was sparked by her bosses discovering that she had taken a personal day on July 3, only for her reason to be splashed on the headlines of all the newspapers the next day.
It was also revealed that Maribe had visited the DCI headquarters, where Dennis Itumbi was being held for questioning, after he was arrested from the CBD on claims of penning a letter alleging that four cabinet secretaries were plotting to kill Deputy President William Ruto.
Maribe's connection to Itumbi was further confirmed by a selfie of him in Muthaiga police station, which was a dead giveaway for the newscaster.
When asked about Maribe's whereabouts, Itumbi laughed off the question and continued walking.
Later, Maribe was spotted seated in the low-key section of VIP, where she was seen in high spirits, wearing a short skirt and a white fancy top.
