On Saturday, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party boss Raila Odinga attended the traditional wedding of Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru to lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo.
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has congratulated Waiguru on her wedding, taking to social media to express his well-wishes.
According to Sonko, Waiguru is expecting and he has offered her free delivery at the Pumwani Maternity Hospital, a facility he claims has state-of-the-art maternity facilities.
He also revealed that his wife, Primrose Mbuvi, is expecting and is scheduled to deliver within a couple of months.
“Before the honeymoon begins let me take this earliest opportunity on behalf of my family and the great people of Nairobi to Congratulate my colleague from Kirinyaga HE Ann Waiguru for getting married to Wakili Waiganjo,” Sonko said.
“May you have a safe delivery on your bundle of joy on the way. You are welcome to enjoy the state of the art maternity facilities at Pumwani hospital where the 1st lady of Nairobi is also set to deliver there in a couple of months to come.”
