July 14, 2019 - Jacque Maribe, a Citizen TV journalist, has lost her job at Royal Media Services following her association with Dennis Itumbi, a Jubilee digital strategist.

According to a report by K24, Maribe had requested to be excused from work on July 3, citing personal reasons. However, she was later pictured at Muthaiga police cells with Itumbi, who had been arrested over allegations of authoring and circulating a fake letter.

The bosses at Royal Media Services felt that Maribe had duped them into giving her time off work, and one of them called her to either resign or face the sack. Maribe chose to resign, and the incident reportedly caused friction between her and the bosses.

Maribe's resignation comes at a time when she is still a suspect in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani. Her ex-fiance, Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie, is the key suspect in the case, which is ongoing in court.

Following her resignation, it remains unclear what Maribe's next move will be.
