On June 29, a tragic event unfolded in London, resulting in the loss of a young life and a baby's life cut short.

Kelly Mary Fauvrelle, 26, was eight months pregnant when she was brutally attacked in her bedroom, leading to her untimely death. Her baby son, Riley, was delivered by paramedics but sadly passed away in hospital on July 3.

Following a thorough investigation, Aaron McKenzie, 25, has been charged with Ms. Fauvrelle's murder and the manslaughter of her baby son. He has also been charged with one count of possession of an offensive weapon.

According to Scotland Yard, the attack occurred in the early hours of June 29, and Ms. Fauvrelle's family was alerted to the 'vicious' attack by her screams at around 3:30 am. Her body was found by her sister, who had been in the home with her.

Two men had previously been arrested on suspicion of murder, but one, 37, was released with no further action, and a second, 29, has been released on bail until early August.

Police continue to appeal for anyone with witnesses or information about the killing to come forward.
