On July 13, 2019, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru tied the knot with Nairobi lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo in a highly anticipated wedding.
Thousands of guests, including President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga, gathered at Kiamugumo Primary School to witness the union.
Area residents began arriving at the venue as early as 8am, eager to catch a glimpse of the high-profile event.
Mr. Waiganjo arrived at the venue minutes to 2pm, followed closely by Mr. Odinga.
Other political leaders, dressed in traditional Kikuyu attire, were also in attendance, adding to the festive atmosphere.
