Published on July 13, 2019, East Africa's Got Talent, a reality TV show, has unveiled its judging panel, featuring a mix of local and international talent.
Jeff Koinange, a veteran TV news anchor, and Vanessa Mdee, a Tanzanian singer, have been named among the four judges for the show. They will be joined by Ugandan Gaetano Kagwa and Rwandese Contact Makeda.
The show, which is sponsored by Safaricom, Clouds Media Group, and Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), aims to discover and nurture new talents from across East Africa.
Speaking at the launch of the show in April, Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed said the show was a big step towards nurturing talent and preserving culture.
East Africa's Got Talent will run for 10 weeks, with contestants going through three phases before reaching the finals. The show will be hosted by Larry Asego and Ann Kansiime and will be filmed in Nairobi and aired on Citizen TV.
