'I have a boyfriend,' Vera Sidika heartbreaks Jegede live on air ¶
On July 12, 2019, singer Jegede appeared on The Trend, a Kenyan TV show, and confessed his undying love for socialite Vera Sidika.
During the interview, Jegede surprised Vera with a bouquet of flowers and read a poem expressing his love for her.
vera, I have always loved you from way back. and words can’t explain my undying love for you. you’re everything I ever needed and more. A lot has been said about me, my love towards you. people think I’m after something. I’m not after money. I just want to share my love with you. I just want you to accept me the way I am.
Jegede even offered to take care of Vera, promising to provide for her and make her happy.
I have a large sugarcane farm in Busia. we can do a lot together. you’re very beautiful. how can someone leave such a woman?
However, Vera's response was not what Jegede had hoped for. She revealed that she was already in a relationship and had a boyfriend.
I appreciate you a lot but I have a boyfriend and here’s here [kenya] you know.
Jegede was heartbroken but refused to give up on Vera, saying he would wait for her and not lose hope.
i’ll wait for you. I won’t give up.
