Kenya's Ferdinand Omanyala, the African 100m Record Holder, has fallen short of his goal at the ongoing World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
Competing in the first semi-final, Omanyala finished fourth with a time of 6.64 seconds, failing to qualify for the men's 60m final.
Marvin Bracy of the United States won the first semi-final with a time of 6.51 seconds, ahead of Jerod El Cock of the United States, who finished second in 6.63 seconds.
However, the second semi-final was faster, with Olympic 100m champion Lamont Jacobs of Italy setting a World Lead time of 6.45 seconds to qualify alongside Great Britain's Adam Thomas, who returned a time of 6.57 seconds.
Arthur Cissé of Ivory Coast and Estonian Karl Erik Nazarov also qualified as the next two fastest.
