July 13, 2019 - Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been at the center of controversy in recent times, with many speculating about his personal life. One of the people he has been linked to is popular Nairobi preacher Reverend Lucy Natasha.
However, in a recent interview with K24's Betty Kyalo on Upclose With Betty, Reverend Natasha set the record straight on the allegations that she is dating Sonko and that the wealthy governor finances her ministry as well as her flashy lifestyle.
She dismissed the claims, stating that her connection with Sonko is nothing more than a spiritual one. 'In actual fact the governor is very God-fearing and my connection with him is very spiritual. He is somebody I have prayed with many times …I have prayed with him over various issues and he is a God-fearing man.'
Reverend Natasha also clarified that she has never dated Sonko, and that the photos of them together that were shared some time back were taken in Sonko's office when he was still the Senator. 'Actually the pictures going round were those we took with the current Governor while he was a Senator. They are professional pictures and people sometimes think they want too.'
She maintained that Sonko is a respectable family man and dismissed the speculation about their relationship as fabrications. 'Even from his side he is a very respectful man, a family man-he has his family so these are just fabrications.'
