Algeria's Desert Foxes are gearing up for a crucial semi-final clash against Nigeria's Super Eagles at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. However, the North Africans may be without two of their key players, Sofiane Feghouli and Youcef Atal, due to injuries sustained during their quarterfinal win over Ivory Coast.

Published on July 12, 2019, the duo struggled to recover from their respective injuries, with Feghouli being replaced by Andy Delort in extra time and Atal being substituted after just 30 minutes of action.

With the semi-final showdown against Nigeria just two days away, both players are expected to undergo late fitness tests to determine their availability for the contest.

Algeria has recorded four wins and one draw at the ongoing tournament, netting ten times and conceding just once. However, they had to rely on penalties to beat Ivory Coast in the quarterfinal after the match ended 1-1 after 120 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles are rearing to go after claiming four victories in five games, including the 2-1 quarterfinal win over South Africa's Bafana Bafana on Wednesday night.

The Nigeria vs Algeria semi-final showdown will kick-off at 10pm East African Time.
