On July 12, 2019, Nyakach MP Joshua Aduma Owuor was freed on Sh3 million cash bail by Chief Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi.
The lawmaker had been charged with abuse of office and conspiracy to defraud Nairobi County government Sh10 million, allegedly paid in legal fees to a dead lawyer in 2011.
Aduma Owuor denied the charges, which he claimed were baseless.
