On July 12, 2019, Spanish champions Barcelona made history by signing World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann in a record-breaking transfer worth Sh13.9 billion (120 million euro).
The transfer, which was finalized after Barcelona paid the required release clause, marks a significant coup for the Spanish club, securing the services of one of the world's top players for the next five seasons.
According to a statement from Barcelona, Griezmann will sign a contract with the club until June 30, 2024, with a buyout clause of 800 million euros.
