On July 12, 2019, the 2019 National Police Service Athletics Championship crowned Eunice Kadogo and Peter Mwai as the women's and men's 100m champions.

Kadogo, who is part of the 200m team for the African Games, showed impressive speed, clocking 11.69 seconds to take the top spot. She edged out defending champion and national record holder Maximilla Imali, who finished second in 11.73 seconds.

"I am glad to reclaim my title despite my poor reaction. It could have been better," Kadogo said in an interview.

Imali, however, attributed her second-place finish to a muscle strain that affected her performance midway through the race. "I felt some pain in my leg midway but I will be fine," she said.

Other notable finishers included Millicent Ndoro, who took third place in 11.86 seconds, and Freshia Mwangi, who came in fourth with a time of 12.23 seconds.

On the men's side, Peter Mwai emerged victorious in the 100m event, crossing the finish line in 10.62 seconds. John Sirengo took second place with a time of 10.87 seconds, while John Cheruiyot finished third in 11.08 seconds.
