Asap Rocky, the Harlem-based rapper, has been detained in Sweden since July 2019, sparking a global outcry over his treatment in custody.

Over 650,000 people have signed an online petition to secure his release, with celebrities like Tyler the Creator and Tyga calling for a boycott of the country.

Chance Infinite, Rocky's manager, has voiced his concerns over the rapper's detention, citing a violation of Article 36 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations.

According to Infinite, Rocky was denied his request to counsel upon being detained, and is facing inhumane conditions at the Stockholm Detention Center, including 24/7 solitary confinement and unsanitary conditions.

As a result, Tyga has cancelled his show in Sweden in protest, joining other celebrities who are speaking out against the treatment of Asap Rocky.
