On Thursday, 03 March, Absa Bank Kenya partnered with East African Breweries to host a Whisky Tasting event for its premier customers at the Muthaiga Golf Club, which is located on the sidelines of the ongoing 2022 Magical Kenya Open.
The event was attended by Absa Bank's Managing Director Jeremy Awori, Chief Strategy Officer Moses Muthui, Business Banking Director Elizabeth Wasunna, and other dignitaries and invited guests.
Absa Bank has partnered with the Kenya Open Golf Limited (KOGL) for over 11 years, growing the profile and stature of the Kenya Open tournament and transforming it into a great asset for the golfing fraternity and the country.
Jeremy Awori, Absa Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Distinguished guests, it gives me great pleasure to host you here tonight, and I want to thank you all for honouring our invitation to discuss an important topic on wealth management… over a drink, courtesy of our partners- Kenya breweries." He also added, "As Absa, it is also a privilege to once again be the presenting partners of the Magical Kenya Open 2022, allowing us to be a part of another world-class tournament. As a business, we will continue to strive to understand what is important to you … as entrepreneurs, corporate heads, organisational leaders and retail clients, to find innovative solutions to connect your dreams with the financial resources that you need to achieve them."
East African Breweries took guests through the process of how to nose the whiskey, exploring its layers of aroma and recognising the rich makeup of various whiskeys.
