Nakuru Town West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama has thrown his weight behind former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's presidential bid in the upcoming August elections.
Arama, who was speaking in Nakuru during a campaign rally, emphasized his commitment to supporting Raila's efforts to ascend to state house.
'I know I have been criticized and labelled names for failing to join UDA, but I choose the side with the majority of Kenyans pushing for the best interest of this country,' Arama said.
He added that Raila's track record as an MP, Minister, former PM, and People's President makes him the best candidate for the job, and that under his leadership, Kenya will be safe.
Notably, Raila's endorsement by ODM and President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party at their respective delegates conferences has given him a significant boost ahead of the polls.
Inside sources indicate that Raila will later this week tour Kisii, Nyamira, Machakos, Bungoma, and Busia counties, further solidifying his campaign.
