Kenyan fans of Jamaican artist Konshens have something to look forward to in September as he announced his return to the country for a concert.
On September 7, Konshens will be live in concert at the Ngong Race Course in Nairobi, Kenya for Hype Fest, a concert organized by Hype Fest group.
‘Sept 7th. Coming Home?’ Konshens tweeted, hinting at his return to Kenya.
This will not be the first time the dancehall star is performing in Kenya. After his first performance in 2014, he expressed his love for the country, saying, ‘The first time I came to Kenya, I fell in love with this country.'
His love for Kenya has been evident in his recent interactions with local artists, including Ethic Entertainment, whose song ‘Figa’ was remixed by Homeboyz radio presenter G-Money and shared with Konshens.
Others who will be performing at the concert include Ethic, Gwaash, Ochungulo family, Chris Kaiga, Sailors, Sol Generation’s Bensoul, and Nviiri the Storyteller.
However, the concert has been embroiled in controversy after it was postponed several times and artists changed since its announcement last year.
