Tanzania Appoints New Coach for Taifa Stars ¶
On July 12, 2019, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) announced the appointment of Ndayiragija Etienne as the assistant coach of the national team, Taifa Stars.
Etienne, who has previously coached Mbao Fc in Mwanza, has been tasked with helping the team prepare for the upcoming CHAN tournament and a friendly match against Kenya's Harambee Stars on July 28, 2019.
Etienne's appointment comes after the TFF parted ways with former coach Emmanuel Amunike, a former Nigerian player, following a mutual agreement to terminate their contract.
The decision to appoint Etienne as the assistant coach is part of the TFF's efforts to develop local coaches and promote the growth of football in Tanzania.
Etienne has expressed his gratitude to the TFF for the opportunity and has pledged to work tirelessly to help the team achieve its goals.
